IC Post
Ruby City Appointment Post for Apollo Justice.
If you have anything minor or some loose ends one-on-one conversations that needs to be taken care of with Apollo, feel free to use this entry to thread them out. Just mark the thread accordingly like so--[Action/Audio/Video/etc, May 4th].
thedivineroar: (I sense JUSTICE)
So in the world of Ace Attorney, the protagonists you control have this thing you can see call inner monologues. They're basically inner thoughts of what the character is thinking or doesn't want to openly say about the person in front of them. When they do this, the font Is blue and behind brackets to indicate thoughts.

Sometimes on occasion, orange font can come up too and are not restricted to the thoughts, but I'm rarely going to do this because orange fonts is usually just to indicate key facts or exaggerate something and bring attention to I'm also lazy. At most I'll keep it in the blue thoughts.

So basically, when you see blue fonts, it means they are Apollo's thoughts and cannot be read by any character unless they have mind reading abilities.

Backtagging: Definitely a-ok! I'm a pretty slow tagger myself as is.
Threadjacking: It's fine as long as I've been told/asked about threadjacking first.
Fourth walling: Go for it. He'll probably think you're crazy.
Subjects to avoid: Can't think of anything atm.

;ic

Topics to avoid: Topics about his family is probably a touchy subject since the game plays it like he's been an orphan most of his life. For the most part though, Apollo's a tough guy and can probably take whatever you throw at him.
Physical contact: You mean make him uncomfortable? Go right ahead.
Kissing: Sure thing, he may not take it very well though ahah.
Flirting: You really just want to make him squirm don't you? I mean yes.
Fighting: Bring it. The brat's useless in a fight outside of court though.
Injuring this character: Bruises and minor injuries are fine, anything more serious please talk to me about it first.
Anything else: PM and Plurk are the best ways to get in touch with me about anything you're not sure about! Or just to plot things in general

thedivineroar: (according to the testimony)
Apollo Justice, just like Trucy Wright has an ability to pick up nervous habits people tend to do when they're hiding something from him or lying. It's been noted in AA4 that Apollo's ability is actually stronger than Trucy's.
Examples of this in canon:
When Lamiroir lies in Turnabout Serenade, Apollo can see her swallowing.
In Turnabout Succession, Apollo sees that Spark Brushel sweats a lot when he's lying (it's really gross).
In the Monstrous Turnabout, Apollo sees Damien Tenma's right eye twitches when he's lying.

This ability was passed on from his mother and has gone unnoticed until his second case as a defense attorney. The bracelet he wears helps him to notice these tensions on a person he's focused/looking at. It basically tightens around his wrist when someone is lying to him.

These are physical habits he notices, so he is not a mindreader.
And for the most part, he doesn't really notice or say anything unless he's really focused on someone and it's important. Ex: relevant to the case he's working on.

So if and when a situation comes up where this may happen, I'd like to know if it's all right for Apollo to go lie detector on your character. If so, what nervous habits, twitches, tensions does your character do when they're lying?
